The Bedford Rascal is one of those vehicles which makes everyone smile, it's just so much fun and perhaps it's the name alone which implies fun!!

This example was a runner on arrival, however it needed tuning properly and also a close look into which it would't run for much longer than a few minutes at any one time.

Once everything had been health checked and tuned correctly, it was then time to narrow down where the mystery issue was located and what the real case was.  Initially the cut out was quite quick/sudden which could easily suggest an electrical component breaking down or a severe blockage of the idle jet.  The final confirmation came from a fuel pressure test which clearly showed an extremely erratic fuel pressure.  Yep....that would do it!

Left on the owners 'to do list' was to fit a new fuel pump and of course to let me know how it behaved after fitting.    The below video as sent by the owner kind of says it all.   He's a happy chappy once again!!!

Must admit, it does sound quite well and I'm sure it's back to being that little fun rascal once again
