Chevrolet Chevelle 400Ci (6.6Ltr)

This Chevrolet Chevelle is fitted with a newly rebiuillt 400Ci (6.6Ltr) engine and an Edelbrock 1407 (750cfm) carb. On arrival ignition timing had been set to book values (8 deg BTDC @ idle), however the ignition in general was not behaving quite the way it should.  Once proven by one method, and then verified by another the ignition timing and advance was amended to a more optimised position.  Likewise fuelling was out at both idle and progression and hence reset to a more a appropriate position.  Watch the below video (SOUND ON!!!) and let me know if the now tuned engine sounds ok to you?

During the health check and tuning process a number of factors were identified which would cause the issues as described by the client.   These were reset individually, then checked using numerous 'old school' diagnostic equipment, and the engine responded beautifully to all the changes made.  One or two very small observations/advisories given to the owner....otherwise all is well!
