Jaguar 'C' Type - Tuning

This car is a high end replica of the famous Jaguar 'C' type, base around the straight 6, 4.2 litre engine.

As you may see in the above picture the engine is equipped with a pair of twin HD8 SU Carburettors together with a slightly modified needle profile and air filtration box.  After being called to take a look at this beautiful car the health check and tune was very much like any other in that it starts around establishing the basics and then finding what is a little out of sorts and hence why it may not be running at it's very best.    

The tuning session was pretty straight forward and involved a number of minor yet collective 'tweaks' to be applied to both carburation and ignition and the engine was back to sounding beautiful once again.

A stunning car and I can't wait to see and hear the owner enjoying it out on the roads again....
