Saab 96

I'm lucky enough to work on all kinds of cars during a calendar year.  My favourites m from yours, however this was one of those that I liked the look of from the very start.....so it was my pleasure to have this SAAB 96 in for mobile tuning.

The owner had done a fantastic job in repairing/restoring the SAAB 96 but was open to admit, tuning the engine wasn't his strongest skill.  So on arrival this car was, another reluctant starter.

So, I went through my normal procedure of checking all the fundamentals needed for the engine to run, and start up safely.  The engine would fire up and run for a short period of time before once again stalling, however during that short period I was able to do a number of fundamental dynamic tests also.

After cleaning, changing and setting all that was required the SAAB 96 was soon ticking over nicely without any support needed from my self and it was then time to dial it in a little further.  All good!!
